State government took steps towards paperless court


Prayagraj, 24 February (HS). Allahabad High Court has sought progress report on the steps taken by the state government towards accepting case notices in PDF format in the Advocate General's Office Prayagraj under the Paperless Court Proceedings Scheme and making government admissions online.

The next hearing of the petition has been fixed for March 19. This order has been given by the division bench of Justice MK Gupta and Justice Kshitij Shailendra while hearing the PIL of Pradeep Kumar Singh.

On the instructions of the court, the Additional Legal Counsel Legal Cell filed an affidavit stating that special appeals and criminal appeals are being filed online on behalf of the government. Efforts are being made to achieve the target of paperless court. In this direction, the appointment of Additional Chief Secretary was discussed in the meeting chaired by him. The decision to adopt the system of Haryana Government has been taken. 'E-MANU' portal is being prepared. In which notice will be accepted in PDF format. Chief Standing Advocate Kunal Ravi said that it may take four weeks. The court has asked for a progress report on this on March 19.
