One for lakhs of government employees of Madhya Pradesh This is important news. The latest update has come on the arrears from January to October 2024. The Treasury and Accounts Commissioner has issued an order in this regard, under which the DA arrears payable from January to September 2024 (9 months) will be paid in four equal installments. Seven lakh employees will benefit from this.
Under the order, the first installment of DA arrears will be given in December 2024, its process has started. The second installment will be released in January 2025, the third installment in February 2025 and the fourth installment in March 2025. It is estimated that Class One officers will get arrears of Rs 57,000, Class II employees Rs 32,000, Third Grade employees Rs 14,000 and Fourth Grade employees Rs 7,000.
This is how the outstanding amount will be calculated
Under the order, 'Arrears Calculation Sheet' will be used to calculate the outstanding amount, with provision for disbursing each installment in a timely and systematic manner. 'Payroll Arrears Calculation' (Internal Process) will be selected to pay DA arrears of October 2024.
The process of first installment of DA payable in October 2024 has been completed and its facility has been made available to the District Treasury Officers. The Commissioner has also instructed the District Treasury Officers to send complete information about the outstanding payments to all the subordinate treasuries and DDOs of the concerned departments.
DA was increased by 4% in October
It is noteworthy that before Diwali, the Mohan Yadav government had given a gift to 7.50 lakh government employees of the state and increased the dearness allowance by 4 percent, after which the DA has increased from 46 percent to 50 percent. Due to DA being 50 percent, government employees will benefit from Rs 620 to Rs 5640 every month.
The new rates have been implemented from January 2024, hence the arrears from January to October will be paid in installments, the process of this has now started from November. Let us tell you that the salary for November has been sent to the accounts on 28th October itself. Now DA arrears for October are being paid separately. The first installment of arrears may come in December.
