Unemployment In India: Another proof of unemployment in the country has been seen. A stampede occurred as a large number of candidates turned up for the recruitment of airport loader. After Bharuch in Gujarat, a large number of youth turned up for the walk-in interview organised by Air India Airport Services Ltd. in Kalina area of Mumbai.
There was a competition among the youth to be the first to go for the interview. Airport loaders, i.e. apprentices, do maintenance and repair work at airports. There was a scramble to get the form at the form counter itself. The applicants waited for their turn for hours without food or water.
More than 25000 applications for 600 posts of airport loader
More than 25000 applications were received for 600 posts in Airport Loader. The pay scale of this post was 20000-25000. However, with overtime allowance of Rs. 30000 per month. The educational qualification was general. Just, the candidate has to be physically fit.
He came from 400 km away to give interview for the post of apprentice
Prathameshwar from Buldhana district came from 400 km away for the apprenticeship interview. He was offered a salary of Rs. 22500. Prathameshwar is a BBA student. Since he did not have any employment, he came to give the interview for this post. He appealed to the government to create more employment opportunities.
Young people are just looking for work
The young man with a BA degree did not even know what a servant does, but he just wanted work because he did not have any job. Another candidate came to Mumbai from Alwar in Rajasthan. He, who is preparing for a government job, came for this interview to meet his expenses.

BJP MP condemns open interview
BJP MP Mansukh Vasava criticized the private company for conducting open interviews for only 10 vacant jobs in Bharuch. He said that private companies should set criteria for conducting interviews for fewer posts. Also, only candidates selected through online applications should be called for interview. It is necessary to make proper arrangements before calling such a large number of candidates for the job.
