Vadodara News: Vadodara ST Department has given Diwali gift to the people of Vadodara. The ST bus stand at Amitnagar Circle, which was closed 6 years ago, has become fully operational today from Labh Pancham Divas. Therefore, now passengers going to North Gujarat and Ahmedabad will be able to board ST bus from Amitnagar Circle.
Six years ago, there was an uproar near Amit Nagar Circle in Vadodara city when 13-year-old student Het Chauhan died after being hit by an ST bus. After which the ST department closed the ST bus stand in Amit Nagar and opened a new ST bus stand near Sama Lake. Due to which the passengers going towards North Gujarat and Ahmedabad were facing huge problems.
Keeping in mind the convenience of the passengers, in the meeting of the Road Safety Committee, it was decided to fully operationalize the bus stand located at Amit Nagar Circle. Which was implemented today on the day of Labh Pancham in the presence of ST Divisional Director OPT Sharma and DTO MK Damor.
Vadodara ST Division DTO M.K. Damor said, on the auspicious day of Labh Pancham, a new bus stand has been commissioned at Amit Nagar Circle. Due to which people will get more facilities. Besides, booking of Volvo buses will also be started from here in the coming days. I appeal to people to use ST buses as much as possible.
