SSP held crime meeting, gave many guidelines

Ranchi, March 10 (Hindus). Ranchi SSP Chandan Kumar Sinha held a crime meeting on Sunday. In the meeting, the SSP gave several guidelines to all the officers. SSP directed to launch a special and intensive campaign. Also, take all-round action against the criminals.

It was said in SSC that every locality of the city should be divided into beats and an officer in-charge should be deputed for each beat. Besides, it will be the responsibility of the beat police officer to collect intelligence from the point of view of crime control and ensure effective patrolling. For this, all police station in-charges have been instructed to start the beat system within three days. In rural police stations, a police nodal officer will be formed by merging 2-3 panchayats, whose job will be to maintain contact with local public representatives, collect general information and be responsible for crime control and arrest of criminals active in that area.

Preparation of database of criminals for crime control, raids against absconding accused, preventive action against anti-social elements, effective action against illegal arms and drug smugglers, better prosecution and timely trial of witnesses in the court to punish the accused. Similarly, to maintain better and smooth traffic system, instructions were given to remove temporary encroachments on the road by establishing better coordination with the Municipal Corporation.

Apart from the normal period, after the implementation of the Model Code of Conduct, the special response team under the District Control Room formed to take prompt action on the basis of public complaints and intelligence received at the point of manufacturing and smuggling of illegal narcotics and psychotropic substances has been made effective. Instructions were given to take action.

Apart from this, to make patrolling effective, the patrol team was instructed to maintain a register during night patrolling, in which details of checking during patrolling will be recorded. The work of the patrol team will be monitored by senior officials. A special campaign will be launched from March 11 for arrest and seizure of warrants and absconding criminals. In the month of March, 30 criminals have been identified for raiding the district. Its proposal will be sent to the Deputy Commissioner, Ranchi within a week.
