In the same sequence, on Monday evening, while returning after visiting Valmiki Ashram on the occasion of last Monday and Rakshabandhan, ten devotees who were trapped in the strong current of water in the Tamsa river were successfully rescued by the officers and jawans of the Border Security Force.
10 devotees who had gone from India to visit Valmiki Ashram (Nepal). When the devotees were returning after the darshan, suddenly the water level in the Tamsa river increased with the strong flow, due to which all the devotees got stuck in the river.
On receiving the information, the in-charge of SSB 21st Battalion F- Samvay, showed promptness and reached the river with his personnel and displaying indomitable courage, patience and efficiency, by forming a human chain and using the available resources, all 10 devotees, including eight men and two women, were safely taken out of the Tamsa river. After this, all the devotees left for their respective destinations. All the devotees thanked the personnel of 21st Battalion F Samvay S.C.B. A Samvay of 21st Battalion SSB is deployed here on the Indo-Nepal border near the Valmiki Ashram and is ready to help at any moment.
Earlier also, SSB personnel had rescued 69 devotees from this river. Due to the rainy season, the water level of the river is rising and falling, due to which the devotees who have come for darshan are facing difficulties. Among the devotees trapped in the strong current of the river, 04 devotees along with Tushar Gupta were from Maharajganj, Uttar Pradesh and 04 devotees along with Rahul Kumar Rajak were from Valmikinagar.
