Araria, 15 February (Hindustan Reporter). SSB on Thursday conducted a raid on a tip-off in BN Complex near Hatkhola, Chhuapatti Ward No. 17 of Forbesganj and recovered 800 bottles of banned codeine-containing cough syrup along with drugs.
The seized drugs and cough syrup belong to a person named Om Kumar, a resident of Maheshpatti ward number 14 of Ghurna police station area. However, the smuggler was not present on the spot during the raid. SSB has handed over the seized cough syrup and drugs to Forbesganj police station.
Local people told that Om Kumar had taken the room on rent only ten days ago. The process of registering an FIR in the matter is going on in Forbesganj police station.
