Hisar, 24 October (Hissar). Haryana Agricultural University Vice Chancellor Prof. BR Kamboj has said that players should participate enthusiastically in sports competitions. Participating in competitions gives players an opportunity to showcase their talent. Participating in sports competitions also results in physical, mental and spiritual development.
Vice Chancellor Prof. BR Kamboj was addressing the players at the inauguration of JSW Akhara wrestling competition at the multipurpose hall located at Giri Center of Haryana Agricultural University on Thursday. He said that sports strengthen the feeling of discipline and brotherhood among the players. Players should play with the spirit of the game. He said that our players have brought glory to the country by performing well not only in national but also international level sports competitions. He said that the main objective of this competition is to discover and encourage talented women wrestlers.
Talent Hat competition is being organized by JSW for the players learning wrestling in the Akharas located in Hisar district. Women players from different akharas are participating in this competition. Six weight categories have been created for the female players participating in this competition, in which participants weighing 45, 50, 55, 60, 65 and more than 65 can participate.
On this occasion, OSD Dr. Atul Dhingra, Director of Student Welfare Dr. Madan Khichad, Media Advisor Dr. Sandeep Arya, Head of Operation, IIS Hisar Satyaprakash, Additional Director SAI, VK Manchanda, IIS Wrestling Head Coach Siyanand, Senior Wrestling from SAI Coach Rajesh and boxing coach Rajesh were present.
