Head coach Chandika Hathurusingha believes playing cricket superpower India will give his team a chance to get a fair review of its standing at the international level.
Hathurasingha said that our team is excited to face the challenge of Rohit Sharma in the two-Test series starting on Thursday. Playing against the best team in the world is exciting. After winning the series against Pakistan, our players are full of confidence. Coming to India and playing against them remains the biggest challenge these days. Playing against the best team in the world lets you know what level you are at. As a player, you are constantly looking for such challenges.
Hathurasingha said that the team's confidence has increased but there are some weaknesses which we are trying to overcome. We want to ensure that some of the mistakes made against Pakistan are not repeated against India. There is a different kind of pressure when playing against India. We want to strengthen the positive aspects of the team. The Bangladesh team has eight specialist batsmen, six bowlers and two all-rounders and it is a completely balanced team.
