New Delhi, August 10 (HS). Union Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya on Saturday honored the Indian Hockey Team for their remarkable achievement of winning the bronze medal at the Paris 2024 Olympics in New Delhi.
Appreciating the dedication and hard work of the team, Dr Mandaviya said that their excellent performance at the global platform has filled the entire nation with pride.
Dr. Mandaviya said, “The whole country is proud of your achievement. This victory is a testimony to your perseverance, teamwork and indomitable spirit. You have brought great pride to India and inspired millions of young athletes to pursue their dreams.”
The Union Minister also lauded the tireless efforts of the coaching staff and support team, recognising their crucial role in the team's success. He reiterated the Government's commitment to provide all necessary support to further develop hockey in India and nurture the sporting talent of the country.
Dr. Mandaviya said, “Hockey is more than just a game for us. It is a symbol of our national pride. This historic success has been achieved due to the hard work, commitment and passion displayed by the team. You have shown the world what can be achieved with resolve and determination.”
