Sports: KKR flight disrupted due to heavy rain, flights to Guwahati and Varanasi short

Due to disruption due to bad weather and heavy rain, the flight of Kolkata Knight Riders team could not land in Kolkata on Monday evening. It ran from Lucknow to Guwahati and from Guwahati to Varanasi. The flight to Kolkata took off from Lucknow at 5:45 pm on Monday and was scheduled to land in Kolkata at 7:25 pm but due to rain the plane was not allowed to land. At 8:46 pm the team was informed that the flight had been diverted to Guwahati due to heavy rain in Kolkata.

Has been diverted. Then at 9:43 pm information was received that the plane had received permission to return to Kolkata and it would reach Kolkata at 11:00 pm. Late at 1:15 in the night, information was received that the weather was bad and the plane was not allowed to land again, due to which the plane was being diverted towards Varanasi. The team reached Varanasi at 3 am on Tuesday and the players were sent to the hotel. After playing against Mumbai on 11th at their home ground Eden Gardens, Kolkata team will come to Ahmedabad for the match against Gujarat Titans on 13th.
