Indian hockey team captain Harmanpreet Singh has been nominated for the Player of the Year by the International Hockey Federation (FIH).

Former Indian goalkeeper PR Sreejesh was nominated for the Goalkeeper of the Year award. Both performed brilliantly for India in the Paris Olympics and the Indian team won the bronze medal in the Paris Olympics. Captain Harmanpreet scored the most 10 goals in the Olympics. Harmanpreet is the highest goal scorer in the Paris Olympics.
