The family of a popular 10-year-old self-proclaimed spiritual speaker has filed a police complaint against seven “anti-Hindu” YouTubers for allegedly harassing her.
The boy's mother, in her complaint to the Mathura Superintendent of Police, alleged that YouTubers had uploaded videos “maliciously” to mock and defame the religious beliefs of her son “who is a follower of Sanatan Dharma”. were designed”.
Describing the YouTubers as having “anti-Hindu elements”, the complaint said the content of their videos was “designed to promote hatred” against the practices and beliefs of Hinduism. It further said that the YouTube videos were uploaded to “humiliate and harass” him.
The complaint also accuses him of violating her privacy and says she is suffering from “extreme stress and mental harassment”.
“The conduct of the accused persons has led to complete breakdown of the complainant and suicide by the family,” the complaint said.
It further added that while the actions of the YouTubers have caused “immense emotional distress” to the 10-year-old, “the complainant should also keep in mind that he is only 10 years old”.
“She is unable to freely practice her religion or live her daily life without fear of physical and online harassment or humiliation,” the complainant said.
The complaint also states that the mockery of his father has “deeply affected the dignity and mental peace of his family.”
“Each member of the family is being made fun of in public, causing immense embarrassment to them,” the complaint said. The accused persons have defamed the complainant for wrongful gain.”
