A speeding pickup jeep collided with an auto near Khandsa village of Gurugram on Saturday morning. In this tragic accident, 1 person died and 9 people were injured. The deceased has been identified as Avnesh Kumar. On receiving the information, the police reached the spot, took possession of the body and sent it for post-mortem. The injured have been admitted to the hospital. Police have arrested the accused jeep driver Pradeep Kumar.
Details of the accident
According to the news agency, this accident happened at around 5:30 am on Saturday morning in front of Sunlife Hospital near Khandsa village. The complainant Ankush Mor, who is a resident of Hisar, Haryana, told the police that he had boarded the auto from Rampura flyover along with other passengers.
The auto had stopped near Sunlife Hospital to pick up another passenger. Then a speeding pickup jeep hit the auto hard from behind. The auto was completely damaged in this collision and all the passengers in it were injured.

post incident action
As soon as information about the accident was received, the police reached the spot and immediately took all the injured to the hospital. However, doctors declared Avnesh Kumar dead. The body has been handed over to the family after post-mortem.
Complainant Ankush said that jeep driver Pradeep Kumar was caught by the people present on the spot and handed him over to the police. The police have arrested the accused and also seized the pickup jeep.
FIR registered, investigation ongoing
Police have registered the case in Sector-37 police station. ACP (Crime) Aman Yadav said that the case is being investigated thoroughly and strict action will be taken against the culprit.
Police statement: “The accused driver has been arrested. “Investigation into other aspects of the accident is ongoing and concrete action will be taken in the matter soon.”
