The situation is peaceful and the administration is fully cooperating. We will investigate the incident.
Angry people set fire to the police car
According to the police, a speeding car crushed the pilgrims in Banka district on Friday night. In which five Kavadias died and many others were injured. All the Kavadyatris were going to Jayashthagornath Mahadev temple with Ganga water from Sultanganj. After this incident, angry villagers also set fire to the police vehicle. On receiving the information, senior officials of the district reached the spot and pacified the crowd.
