
Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya today talked to senior officials of the Rural Development Department on telephone and reviewed in detail the main and district level implementation of VB Ji Ram Ji Yojana. Strong participation of public representatives and Panchayats: Deputy Chief Minister directed that Panch Sammelan should be organized in every district with the aim of effectively implementing the VB Ji Ram Ji Yojana on the ground and strengthening the role of local bodies. Active participation of local public representatives (MPs, MLAs, District and Area Panchayat members) and Gram Panchayats should be ensured in these conferences, so that public participation and transparency is maintained in development plans. In view of the upcoming festivals, speed up the work allocation and execution of VB Ji Ram Ji Yojana. In order to strengthen the rural economy and generate employment, he directed that the work should be immediately allotted to the registered card holders at the block level by expediting the work. He said that the block level officers themselves should keep a watch so that there is no unnecessary delay in getting work and payment of wages to any eligible card holder. Warning of strict action on negligence, the Honorable Deputy Chief Minister warned the officers in clear words that strict action will be taken on negligence in the implementation of the scheme. Laxity, carelessness or irregularities at any level will not be tolerated at all. The officers and employees found guilty will be held accountable and immediate disciplinary action will be taken against them.
