In order to strengthen the rural economy and generate employment, he directed that the work should be immediately allotted to the registered card holders at the block level by expediting the work. He said that the block level officers themselves should keep a watch so that there is no unnecessary delay in getting work and payment of wages to any eligible card holder. Warning of strict action on negligence, the Honorable Deputy Chief Minister warned the officers in clear words that strict action will be taken on negligence in the implementation of the scheme. Laxity, carelessness or irregularities at any level will not be tolerated at all. The officers and employees found guilty will be held accountable and immediate disciplinary action will be taken against them.
