Dehradun, 10 May (HS). The world famous Chardham Yatra of Uttarakhand has started from Friday. The speed of registration for Chardham Yatra has also increased. Immense enthusiasm is being seen among the pilgrims. Registration is mandatory for Chardham Yatra. In such a situation, the registration number is continuously increasing. A total of 2357393 registrations have been done so far for Chardham Yatra.
People's inclination towards Chardham Yatra is increasing. Token system has been implemented in all four Dhams for travel management. Without registration, no devotee will be able to undertake Chardham Yatra. The doors of Shri Kedarnath Dham, Gangotri and Yamunotri have been opened on Friday. Whereas the doors of Shri Badrinath Dham will open on 12th May. Till Friday evening, a total of 23,57,393 pilgrims have registered for Chardham Yatra. In this, 3,68,302 pilgrims have been registered for Yamunotri, 4,21,205 for Gangotri, 8,07,090 for Shri Kedarnath Dham, 7,10,192 for Shri Badrinath Dham and 50,604 for Hemkund Sahib.
How to register for Chardham Yatra
Devotees coming to visit Chardham can register through Uttarakhand Tourism Development Council's website, app, toll free number and WhatsApp. Like last time, this time there has been no provision to limit the number of pilgrims for any Dham. Devotees can register for Chardham Yatra through registrationandtouristcare.uk.gov.in website. Pilgrims can also register themselves through WhatsApp number 91-8394833833. You can also register through toll free number 0135 1364.
