Special option for calling and SMS users

Airtel

Airtel has launched two new prepaid plans for users using voice calling and SMS services. These plans are made especially keeping keypad phones in mind. Following the instructions of the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI), telecom companies were asked to introduce plans that would meet the needs of customers who do not use data.

Airtel has introduced prepaid plans worth Rs 1,849 and Rs 469. There is no benefit of data in these plans, but voice calling and focus on SMS.

1,849 prepaid plan

Validity:

  • 365 days (1 year)

Benefits:

  • Unlimited calling
  • 3,600 SMS
  • Free Hello Tunes Subscription
  • Airtel Xstream App Access
  • Three months Apollo 24/7 Circle Membership

This plan is ideal for users who want unlimited calling and SMS facility with long validity. It can be purchased from Airtel’s app, offline stores, and third-party platforms.

Prepaid plan of Rs 469

Validity:

  • 84 days (3 months)

Benefits:

  • Unlimited calling
  • 100 sms per day
  • Free Hello Tunes Subscription
  • Three months Apollo 24/7 Circle Membership

This plan is a cheaper option for a plan of Rs 1,849. However, there is no benefit of data in this too.

Reliance Jio’s voice-only plan

Like Airtel, Reliance Jio has also launched plans for voice and SMS users. Jio’s Rs 458 plan also comes with a validity of 84 days. Its benefits are as follows:

  • Unlimited calling
  • 1,000 sms

The specialty of these plans

These plans are very useful for those users who:

  1. Do not use smartphones and only use keypad phones.
  2. Those who do not use data services and only need calling and SMS.

Both Airtel and Jio companies have introduced these plans, understanding the needs of the customers of this segment.
