Raipur, 5 October (Hindustan Reporter). Swachhta Pakhwada is being organized by Indian Railways till October 15 under the Swachh Rail Swachh Bharat Abhiyan.
In this Swachhta Pakhwada, various programs related to cleanliness and hygiene are being organized every day according to the theme. In the same sequence, under the Swachhta Pakhwada on Saturday, on the theme of Clean Station, intensive cleaning was done by the employees under the leadership of designated officers to provide a clean environment in the station premises, around the railway track, in railway colonies etc. at all the small stations of Raipur division. The campaign is being run. On this occasion, an intensive cleanliness campaign was conducted at Raipur Railway Station, in which all the members including officials of the social organization Sant Nirankari Seva Dal participated enthusiastically. On this occasion, Divisional Commercial Manager Rakesh Singh along with Chief Station Manager and Chief Commercial Inspector were present.
During this, thorough cleaning of the station premises, platforms, concourse area, circulating area, FOB, railway track, toilets etc. was ensured. Besides, an appeal was made to the passengers to throw the garbage in the designated dustbins at the station, stop using plastic items and cooperate with the railway administration in maintaining the cleanliness of the station. Monitoring of cleanliness was ensured through CCTV. Work was done towards making the station platform a dirt and plastic-free area. During the inspection, special cleaning of the station premises, toilets, platforms, passenger waiting rooms and generally more dirty areas and garbage disposal was carried out. Under this campaign, officers and employees also volunteered to clean the station premises.
