East Champaran, 28 September (HS). SP Swarn Prabhat has taken major action against the police officers who did not go on patrol on time and did not go on patrol, suspending their salaries.
Along with this, an explanation has also been demanded from the police station officers who were delaying the patrolling. The SP has taken the above action after observing the GPS system installed in the patrol vehicles of all the police stations.
According to the information received from the District Police Headquarters on Saturday, GPS investigation found that a dozen police station vehicles were leaving and returning late on patrol by one to one and a half hours.
After the above action taken by the SP, there is a stir in the district police department.
It is noteworthy that the SP has issued a show cause notice to the SHOs of Nagar police station, Harsiddhi, Raghunathpur, Adapur, Mahuawa Nakardei, Dhaka, Paharpur, Fenhara, Chhatauni police station regarding negligence in morning, day and evening patrolling.
SP's investigation found that in the morning patrol, Nagar police station was late by 30 minutes, Harsiddhi police station was late by half an hour, Raghunathpur was late by 1.50 hours in Diva patrol, Adapur was late by 50 minutes, Mahuawa was late by 35 minutes, Nakardei was found to be late by 25 minutes, Dhaka was late by 35 minutes and Paharpur was found to be late by 50 minutes. In the same evening patrol, the patrol was taken out late to Adapur by 40 minutes and to Fenhara by 1.5 hours. In the same night patrol, the patrol was taken out late to Harsiddhi by 4 hours, Adapur by 55 minutes. In the same day patrol, the patrol vehicle of Chhatauni police station returned 40 minutes earlier. In the same evening, Nagar police station was found returning from patrol 50 minutes, Adapur 50 minutes and Mahuawa one hour earlier. Whereas during night patrolling, Paharpur police station was found returning from patrol one hour and Dhaka police station 4.5 hours earlier. After observing this, SP Swarna Prabhat considered it a major lapse and dereliction of duty on the part of the police and has postponed the salaries of all the policemen. He has also demanded clarification from the referred police stations.
