Banbasa (Champawat), 06 March (Hindustan Reporter). Champawat Superintendent of Police Ajay Ganapati has started efforts to strengthen border security in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. In view of this, Champawat SP held a meeting on Wednesday in the NHPC guest house auditorium regarding mutual coordination with the security agencies of India and Nepal.
Heads of intelligence units including Nepal Police, SSB, CISF, Customs were present in the meeting. While interacting with the media after the meeting, the SP of Champawat district said that there is a need to increase mutual coordination between the security agencies of both the countries on the India-Nepal border, prevention of drug trafficking, human trafficking and other important issues of the border area. There was discussion among the officers.
Apart from this, it was also agreed to strengthen the security system through mutual coordination on border security in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. While Nepal's SP Chakraraj Joshi described this meeting as important for mutual coordination between the security agencies of both the countries, along with this, on behalf of Nepal Police, including increasing mutual cooperation between the security agencies for the border, Nepal will participate in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections in India. It was assured to provide full cooperation.
