SP hoisted the flag of victory on both the Lok Sabha seats of Jaunpur

Jaunpur, 04 June (HS). The counting of votes of Sadar and Machlishahr Lok Sabha seats of the district was completed on Tuesday in Purvanchal University amid heavy security arrangements. Samajwadi Party candidates hoisted the flag of victory in both the Lok Sabha seats. India Alliance candidate Babu Singh Kushwaha from Sadar Lok Sabha seat defeated his nearest rival BJP's Kripa Shankar Singh, while India Alliance candidate Priya Saroj from Machlishahr Lok Sabha seat defeated her rival BJP's current MP BP Saroj.

SP candidate Babu Singh got 5,09,130 ​​votes while BJP candidate Kripashankar Singh got 4,09,795 votes. BSP candidate Shyam Singh Yadav, who stood third, got 1,56,588 votes. Similarly, Samajwadi Party candidate Priya Saroj won from Machhlishahr Parliamentary Constituency. She defeated her nearest rival BJP candidate BP Saroj by 35,312 votes. Priya Saroj got 4,49,069 votes while BP Saroj got 4,13,757 votes. The candidate Kripashankar Saroj, who stood third, got 1,56,680 votes.
