SP creates ruckus at SSP office over action in gangrape case | News India

Meerut, 09 September (HS). On Monday, SP workers gheraoed the SSP office demanding action in the case of gang rape of a teenager in Lohia Nagar police station area. They demanded strict action against the accused.

A teenage girl was gang-raped in Lohia Nagar police station area on Saturday. On Sunday, the police arrested the accused Talib after an encounter. Talib was injured after being shot in the leg but the police have not been able to arrest the other accused yet. On Monday, workers under the leadership of Samajwadi Party district president Vipin Chaudhary gheraoed the SSP office and created a ruckus.

SP workers said that crimes are constantly happening in Uttar Pradesh. Police is proving unsuccessful in stopping them. Women are not safe in the state. Incidents are happening with them every day. Women are not being protected. Police should take strict action against the accused of gang rape incident in Lohia Nagar. During this, SP workers also raised slogans against the government. After this, they submitted a memorandum to the SSP and demanded strict action against the accused. SSP assured to take action soon. On this occasion, Shanky Verma, Jeetu Nagpal, Guddu Chaudhary, Ikram, Ehtesham, Zeeshan, Abdul, Sanjay Chaudhary etc. were present.
