Famous Tamil cinema actor Vijay, as he entered politics, held a spectacular political rally in Villupuram district. At the event, Vijay shared the ideology and goals of his party Tamilaga Vetri Kazhagam (TVK) and explained his resolve in detail to millions of supporters.
Tamil should be recognized as the language of temples
Vijay stressed at the rally that Tamil should be recognized as the language of courts and temples. This is not just a question of language, but a campaign to revive the cultural heritage of Tamil Nadu. He enthusiastically addressed the supporters while waving the party flag.
It is our duty to spread our ideology to the common people: Vijay
Vijay said in his address, “It is our duty to take our ideology to the people and present before them the leaders who have worked tirelessly for the people of this land.” He explained the ideology of the party to Periyar and Dr. B.R. Emphasis was placed on his commitment to social equality combined with Ambedkar's principles.
Vijay's party has special respect for women and considers Velu Nachiyar, the first woman warrior in the history of Tamil Nadu, and social activist Ajalai Ammal as ideological pioneers. Vijay said that his party is the first party to support women leadership in Tamil Nadu.

Why did Vijay enter politics?
Discussing TVK's stance on major political issues, Vijay said that his party's ideology is inspired by both Dravidism and Tamil nationalism. They have been described as “the two eyes of our earth”. Rather than restricting TVK's identity to one group, he advocated secularism over justice, unity and social development.
Vijay told the reason for coming into politics from films
Vijay explained the reason for leaving his film career and joining politics and called it his decision towards the public. He asked, “What will we do to earn money after some time? What will I do for the people who have made my life?”
