South Africa reaches semi-finals, West Indies tour ends

South Africa has qualified for the semi-finals by defeating West Indies in the last Super-8 match of the T20 World Cup. The journey of host West Indies in the World Cup is now over. South Africa has become the second team to reach the semi-finals after England from Group-2.

In the match against South Africa, the host West Indies batted first and scored 135 runs for 8 wickets in 20 overs. In this important match, apart from Roston Chase and Kyle Myers, no batsman could do anything special for West Indies. Due to the partnership of 81 runs in 65 balls between these two, the Caribbean team was able to reach the figure of 135 runs.

South African spinner Tabrez Shamsi played a vital role in restricting West Indies to 135 runs. He took 3 wickets for 27 runs in 4 overs. Meanwhile, he also completed his 300 wickets in T20 cricket. Apart from Shamsi, Johnson, Markram, Maharaj and Rabada got 1-1 wickets. South Africa tested a total of 6 bowlers in this match, out of which everyone except Norkhia got wickets.

In this match, Tabrez Shamsi bowled brilliantly for South Africa. Shamsi took 3 wickets for 27 runs in 4 overs. Due to which he was chosen as the Player of the Match.
