Sonipat: Ban on two wheelers, three wheelers and tractors on KMP-KGP

Sonipat, March 1 (Hindustan Reporter) Travel by motor cycles (including scooters and other two-wheelers), three-wheelers (including e-karts, e-rickshaws), non-motorized vehicles, agricultural tractors (with or without trailers) and four-wheelers on the KMP-KGP Expressway. There is a complete ban on doing so. Deputy Commissioner Dr. Manoj Kumar said that no person should travel with these vehicles on KMP-KGP.

The Deputy Commissioner said that the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways had also issued a notification for this on June 14, 2018. Expressways have been constructed to reduce travel time. The speed of vehicles has been fixed at 80 kilometers to 120 kilometers per hour. Whereas due to the speed difference between slow moving two-wheelers and three-wheelers and from the point of view of road safety, operation of relatively high-speed vehicles can pose a risk to their safety.
