Rajya Sabha Elections: Congress leader Sonia Gandhi has won unopposed for Rajya Sabha from Rajasthan. According to an official's report, apart from Sonia Gandhi, BJP's Chunnilal Garasia and Madan Rathod have been elected to Rajya Sabha from Rajasthan.
News agency PTI quoted Assembly Secretary Mahavir Prasad Sharma as saying that Tuesday was the last day for withdrawal of nominations. Since no other candidate was contesting the elections, the three leaders contested the elections for Rajya Sabha unopposed. Let us tell you that this is Sonia Gandhi's first term in the Rajya Sabha after completing six terms in the Lok Sabha.
J.P Nadda from Gujarat
Along with this, BJP President J.P. Nadda and three other party candidates were elected unopposed to the Rajya Sabha from Gujarat on Tuesday. Four Rajya Sabha seats were vacant in the state and all the candidates of the ruling BJP had filed their candidature.
An official said that no other candidate applied for the four vacant seats for Rajya Sabha elections from Gujarat. Returning officer Rita Mehta declared all four BJP candidates, including Nadda, as winners unopposed for the Upper House of Parliament. Apart from Nadda, the three other candidates who were elected unopposed to the Rajya Sabha were diamond merchant Govindbhai Dholakia, BJP leader Jaswant Singh Parmar and Mayank Nayak.

BJP and Congress candidates have been elected unopposed from Madhya Pradesh. In which the names of BJP's L Murugan, Umesh Nath Maharaj, Maya Narolia, Banshilal Gurjar are included. Also, Ashok Singh of Congress has been declared unopposed.
10 Rajya Sabha seats in Rajasthan
The tenure of Rajya Sabha members Manmohan Singh (Congress) and Bhupendra Yadav (BJP) is ending on April 3. The third seat had fallen vacant after BJP MP Kirori Lal Meena resigned from the House in December after being elected MLA. BJP has 115 members and Congress 70 in the 200-member assembly. There are 10 Rajya Sabha seats in Rajasthan. After the results, Congress has six members and BJP has four members.
