Sonia Gandhi’s birthday celebrated as Goodwill Day

Mirzapur, 9 December (Hindustan Reporter). The birthday of UPA chairperson and former Congress President Sonia Gandhi was celebrated as Goodwill Day at the District Congress Committee office located in the city’s Mission Compound. On this occasion, Congress workers made the ceremony special by cutting the cake and taking a pledge to protect the Constitution.

Former MLA Bhagwati Prasad Chaudhary said that the people of the country were happy during the UPA government, whereas the farmers and laborers are troubled in the current BJP government. He accused the central government of dividing the people on the basis of caste and religion.

Expressing concern over unemployment and inflation, media in-charge Chhote Khan recalled the achievements of the Congress-led UPA government.

Ramesh Prajapati, Kamlesh Dubey, Archana Choubey, Radha Bind and other Congressmen shared their views in the program. During this, many workers including Santosh Yadav, Ankur Srivastava, Dilip Maurya, Sandeep Tiwari were present.
