On information, the city police station arrested the accused son-in-law Sonu Mallah alias Teresa, resident of Mortanga, Kevatpada. On the written complaint of the deceased's son Dhannajay Mallah, the police was successful in arresting the accused son-in-law along with his mother Reshmi Mallah and father Maheshchandra Mallah. It was told in the written complaint that the accused used to demand dowry since the marriage. The son-in-law was also given an e-rickshaw for employment.
Despite this, the accused and his family often demanded money. Due to the refusal, the dispute escalated and the accused son-in-law along with his family members killed his father. In this case, on the written complaint of the deceased's son, the police registered a case of murder against the accused and his family members and on Friday arrested the accused son-in-law and his parents and sent them to jail in judicial custody.
