Mumbai – Nandedma is facing financial problems due to suicide of farmer father and son due to continuous crop failure and debt. After coming to know about this the father also committed suicide.
Farmer Rajendra Pailwar (born 43) has two acres of land in Minki in Bilali taluka of Nanded. He had taken a loan of Rs 4 lakh from the bank on the farm. He was troubled by debts, frequent delinquency, and expenses for his son’s education. Son Omkar (B.A. 19), was studying in Udgir.
He came home on the occasion of Makar Sankranti. He asked his father for money to buy new clothes, study materials and a new mobile phone. The father asked him to wait for a few days as he had no money. He was angry about this.
Then the son strangled himself by hanging himself from a tree in the field. Father searched for Omkar who was missing from home. Rajendra was mentally broken after seeing his dead body hanging on the tree. The father took down his son’s body from the tree. After this the son committed suicide and hanged himself with the same rope. There was an uproar after this incident.
