Following incidents of attacks on military officials across the country and the incident in Odisha, the Indian Army has launched an emergency helpline number 155306 for all ranks. The helpline, set up at the Army Headquarters Provost Unit, will function as a single-window system similar to the “Dial 100” service, which will provide assistance and relief in emergency situations. It is noteworthy that in Odisha, an army officer and his fiancee were attacked by the police.
155306 helpline has been announced to assist service personnel during traffic accidents, medical emergencies, natural disasters, major criminal activities and other emergency situations requiring immediate assistance. It is designed to receive both mobile and landline calls.
