Rahul Gandhi on Doda attack: Reacting to the death of four jawans in the line of duty in Jammu and Kashmir's Doda, opposition leader Rahul Gandhi on Tuesday said India's soldiers and their families are victims of the BJP's wrong policies.
Rahul Gandhi saluted the martyrdom of the soldiers and expressed condolences to their families. The Congress leader also expressed deep concern over the attack in Doda and questioned the policies of the government.
Rahul Gandhi wrote on the social media site, “Today again our soldiers were martyred in a terrorist encounter in Jammu and Kashmir. I pay my humble tribute to the martyrs and express my deepest condolences to the bereaved families. Such horrific incidents one after the other are extremely sad and disturbing.”
He further wrote, “These continuous terrorist attacks are highlighting the poor condition of Jammu and Kashmir. Our soldiers and their families are bearing the brunt of BJP's wrong policies. Every patriotic Indian demands that the government take full responsibility again and again. Take strict action against security lapses and criminals, in this hour of grief, the whole country is united against terrorism.
Kashmir Tigers, a shadow group of Pakistan-backed and based terrorist organisation Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM), has claimed responsibility for the Doda encounter in Jammu and Kashmir. Four Indian soldiers, including a Major, lost their lives in the attack. Armed terrorists attacked an army convoy and killed five soldiers. Two other soldiers and six terrorists were killed in separate encounters.
