Flood crisis in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana: So far 31 people have died due to heavy rains in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. Heavy rain is predicted in this district
The Meteorological Department has predicted heavy rains in 11 districts of Telangana including Adilabad, Jagityal, Kamareddy, Komaram Bheem Asifabad, Medak, Medchal Malkajagiri, Nizamabad, Peddapalli, Sangareddy in the next 24 hours. On the other hand, 4.5 lakh people have been affected by heavy rains and floods in Andhra Pradesh in the last three days. 31,238 people have been shifted to 166 relief camps. The most affected districts include NTR, Guntur, Krishna, Eluru, Palanadu, Bapatla and Prakasam.

Telangana faces losses of Rs 5,000 crore
At least 16 people have lost their lives in various incidents related to torrential rains in Telangana. The state government has estimated the loss to be Rs 5,000 crore. In this regard, immediate assistance of Rs 2,000 crore was sought from the central government. Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy announced an assistance of Rs 5 lakh to the families of those who died in rain-related incidents.
