Snapchat-like feature will be available on Instagram, now there is no need to delete sent photos

Meta-owned platform Instagram is used all over the world. The company keeps adding new features to its apps from time to time to provide the best experience to the users. Now Instagram is working on a new feature. This feature is clearly being introduced to compete with Snapchat.

The feature the company is working on is called Peak. In this, after sending the photo, the receiver will be allowed to see the photo only once. As soon as the receiver views the photo, the photo will be automatically deleted.

What is the new feature of Instagram?

If you use Snapchat then you must have realized that whenever a photo is sent on Snapchat, it automatically gets deleted as soon as you click on it. Instagram users were demanding this feature for a long time. The company is now preparing to launch this feature. This feature will work just like Snapchat.

According to the information, the company is working on the development of this feature. Like BeReal and Snapchat, many reports have come out regarding this feature.

The feature was first spotted by reverse engineer Alessandro Paluzzi on Instagram as a prototype, TechCrunch reports. At present the Peak feature is not live for users. However, this peak is likely to be found somewhere in the Feature Stories section.

Now according to the shown screenshot, the photo which you want to share with each other through Peek, you will have to click it from the camera itself. Because you cannot use this tool to share images in the gallery. Also, users cannot edit or apply any filters to the photo once shared. This concept is also similar to BeReal.

Feature like Candid Stories

This upcoming feature of Instagram is almost similar to the Candid Stories feature. This feature was first tested in 2022. But this feature was never rolled out for the users. This feature was also a completely clone feature of B Real.

There is still no clarification on when the Peek feature will be rolled out. However, according to several reports, users will be able to take advantage of this feature soon.
