Smuggler arrested with smack and ganja worth Rs 68 lakh

Jaipur, 26 November (HS). Jaipur Commissionerate’s Special Team (CST) has arrested Hanuman alias Rohit, a smuggler involved in smuggling of illegal drugs, smack and ganja, while taking action against drug mafias in Jawahar Circle police station area under Operation “Clean Sweep”. . Along with this, police have recovered illegal drugs smack 136 grams, ganja 789 grams and sale amount of Rs 2 thousand 500 from the arrested accused. According to the police, the estimated value of the illegal drug smack seized from the smuggler is Rs 68 lakh in the international market. At present the accused is being interrogated.

Jaipur Police Commissioner Biju George Joseph said that under the Operation Clean Sweep being run by the Police Commissionerate, CST, while taking action in Jawahar Circle police station area, arrested smuggler Hanuman alias Rohit (22), who was smuggling illegal drugs, smack and ganja. Mehndwas District Tonk Hall Jawahar Circle Jaipur has been arrested. Police have seized 136 grams of illegal drug smack, 789 grams of ganja and sale amount of Rs 2 thousand 500 from the accused. The arrested accused Hanuman alias Rohit is involved in illegal drug smuggling. During preliminary interrogation, the accused has revealed that he purchases illegal drugs like ganja and smack from Nasirda district Tonk and supplies it in the surrounding areas. The police is busy interrogating the accused regarding the source and supplier of the illegal drug smack.
