Kanpur, June 15 (HS). The police team of Rawatpur police station arrested a member of a gang smuggling hashish on Saturday. Hashish worth about Rs 4 lakh was recovered from his possession and he was sent to jail after taking legal action against him.
Deputy Commissioner of Police West Vijay Dhul said that the arrested accused is Chhotu alias Chutkke alias Sajan, resident of Mishra Colony of Gangaghat police station area of Unnao district. The police team has recovered 480 grams of hashish from his possession. The cost of the recovered hashish is more than 4 lakhs. A total of 20 criminal cases are registered against the arrested accused. A reward of twenty-five thousand was announced for his arrest.
