East Champaran, August 3 (HS). On the basis of secret information, the jawans of Koriya post of SSB 71st Battalion and Mahuva police took joint action and nabbed a smuggler with 77 kg 500 grams of banned substance ganja from pillar number 377/5 near Sainik Road on Saturday early morning. The smuggler managed to escape towards Nepal taking advantage of the darkness.
The arrested smuggler has been identified as 25-year-old Pappu Paswan, a resident of Gaura village in Kotwa police station area, who was arrested and handed over to the Mahuva police station. According to SSB officials, the estimated value of the seized ganja is thirty-eight lakh seventy-five thousand rupees.
