Bokaro, May 5 (HS). On the basis of secret information, 160 packets of ganja were seized from Mahendra Prasad (59), who was smuggling ganja illegally in village Hosir of Gomiya police station area. The arrested Mahendra Prasad runs a Khaini shop in Sadam Bazaar. Today, he was taking ganja to his shop to sell in the same Khaini shop. In the same sequence, Gomiya police station in-charge Nityanand Bhokta raided and arrested him on the instructions of Sub-Divisional Officer Vashishtha Narayan Singh.
Meanwhile, Sub-Divisional Officer Bermo Tenughat held a press conference in his office on Sunday and informed about the arrest in the raid. Singh said that a total of 160 small and big bundles of ganja whose total weight was 870 grams along with an electronic scale and two pipes were recovered in one bag.
