Those who lost the Lok Sabha 2024 elections include RK Singh, Mahendra Nath Pandey, Smriti Irani, Arjun Munda, Sanjeev Balyan, Rajiv Chandrasekhar, Kailash Choudhary, Ajay Mishra Teni, V Muralidharan, Nishith Pramanik, Subhash Sarkar, Sadhvi Niranjan Jyoti, Kaushalesh Pravesh, Kaushalesh Verma, Kapil Patil, Bhagwant Khumba, Bharati Pawar, Debasree Chaudhury and L Murugan have now been served notices to vacate the government bungalow by July 11.
This notice has been issued by the Directorate of Estates under the Ministry of Urban Development. Apart from this, Ashwini Choubey and VK Singh were also ministers in the previous government but the party did not give them tickets again, now they will also have to vacate their government bungalow.
Similarly, Pashupatinath Paras had resigned from the previous government in anger but he is still occupying the government bungalow, although later his anger subsided and he decided to support the BJP. Similarly, former MPs who were members of the 17th Lok Sabha but were not re-elected will also have to vacate their government accommodation from the Lutyens Bungalow Zone.
As per the rules, the President dissolved the 17th Lok Sabha on June 5, within a month of the dissolution of the Lok Sabha. Thus, the former MPs have only until July 5 to vacate their government.
