News India Live, Digital Desk: In today’s busy life, stress has become such a part of our lives that it is almost impossible to avoid it. We dismiss it as ‘small tension’, but this small stress gradually gives rise to high blood pressure, heart diseases, diabetes and even serious diseases related to the digestive system in the body.
If you also feel stressed due to every conversation, cannot sleep at night, or your mind remains restless, then instead of modern medicines, Ayurveda has some very simple and effective solutions which calm your nervous system and help in eliminating stress from its roots.
Three surefire remedies of Ayurveda to reduce stress
According to Ayurveda, stress mainly arises due to imbalance of ‘Vata’ dosha in the body. These remedies control Vata dosha and provide mental peace.
1. Abhyanga (Hot Oil Massage)
The oldest and most effective way to eliminate mental stress immediately is Abhyanga. This is a daily hot oil massage.
- How to do: lukewarm 20 minutes before sleeping every night sesame oil or coconut oil Take it. Massage it thoroughly with light hands all over the body (especially the soles of the feet, head and neck). After massage, take a bath with hot water or after 20 minutes take a bath with lukewarm water.
2. Herbal Peace (Nourishing the Mind)
In Ayurveda, certain herbs are called ‘medhya rasayan’, that is, they nourish the mind and bring peace.
- Brahmi: Brahmi is known to enhance memory and keep the mind calm. You can take it in powder or syrup form, especially if you study or do mental work.
3. Calm routine (following the routine)
Ayurveda says that if your daily routine is not stable, the mind will also remain unstable. To remove mental stress, make these two changes in your routine:
- Light, hot and nutritious food: Vata dosha increases by eating cold, stale, very spicy, fried food. Instead, eat warm, light and fresh food, especially green vegetables and food with ghee or oil which is easily digested.
- Set a bedtime: Sleeping at the same time every day sets your ‘circadian rhythm’ (biological clock), which prevents insomnia and reduces stress.
