Small Business Association will hold Mahapanchayat on 11th

Haridwar, 07 June (HS). Representatives of street vendors' organizations associated with the Laghu Vyapar Association held a meeting at Alaknanda Ghat on Friday under the leadership of provincial president Sanjay Chopra. It was decided in the meeting that a Maha Panchayat will be held on June 11 to formulate a strategy and stage a phased protest against the removal of small traders in the name of encroachment by the district administration.

In the meeting, Sanjay Chopra said that due to the negligence of Haridwar Municipal Corporation, small traders are not getting the benefit of Uttarakhand Urban Street Vendor Policy Rules. He said that a strategy for the movement will be made by holding a collective Mahapanchayat on 11 June.
