India Canada News: Canadian PM Justin Trudeau's love for Khalistan has once again come to the fore. When he reached the stage to deliver a speech on Khalsa Day celebrated in the city of Toronto, slogans of Khalistan Zindabad were raised. During the speech, Trudeau vowed to protect the Sikh community at all costs and said he would always protect the “rights and freedoms” of the Sikh community.
India-Canada relations deteriorated after Nijjar's murder
Relations between India and Canada have been tense for the last several months after the murder of Khalistan leader Hardeep Singh Nijjar. Canada is making serious allegations of involvement of Indian officials in the Niger genocide. On the other hand, India has repeatedly sought evidence in response to these allegations, which the Canadian government has not been able to present till date. Canadian PM Justin Trudeau, who has supported Khalistan on many fronts, addressed the Khalsa Day parade on Sunday afternoon. Slogans of Khalistan Zindabad were raised in his meeting.

Justin Trudeau's latest comments came during the Khalsa Day parade in downtown Toronto. Trudeau arrived at the event along with four cabinet ministers of his government and four MPs from the Liberal Party. As soon as Trudeau reached the stage, some people in the gathering started raising slogans of Khalistan Zindabad. He did not give a very long speech in the meeting. Addressing the gathering he said, “There are approximately 8 lakh Sikh community living in Canada, we pledge that we will always protect your rights and freedoms and protect your community from hatred and discrimination.”
