Sleeper Vande Bharat train: Good news! Sleeper coaches will soon be seen in Vande Bharat train, Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav told when you will be able to travel | News India

Another improvement is being made in Kesco regarding complaints about bills. Till now the meter reader used to prepare the bill on the same day on which the bill was received. In such a situation, consumers used to complain about getting a higher bill. The meter reader used to prepare and send bills on the basis of date instead of month, but now this system will be improved.

Kesco will now prepare the bill by 30th or 32nd of every month. The consumer will be billed for the units of electricity consumed till 12 midnight. However, at present, only those 1.52 lakh consumers will be able to avail this benefit who have smart meters installed.

Meter readers used to do billing without visiting homes, due to which consumers often complained about getting high bills. Consumers used to face problems due to fixed charges for two months, but Kesco has now started billing from zero hour. On the first of every month, every consumer will receive a bill message on his mobile.

In the month of June this year, more than 25 thousand consumers of Kesco had complained about discrepancies in the bills. Now Kesco officials are busy in improving the billing system. Officials said that Zero Hour Billing will end the billing related problems of the consumers. Bills will be prepared according to the units of electricity consumed till 12 midnight on the 30th or 31st of every month.

Bills used to increase due to fixed charges

If the bill was for 35 to 40 days, the consumers had to pay the fixed charge for two months. Kesco used to charge the fixed charge after the first date of the first month. In such a situation, if there was late billing, the consumers had to pay the fixed charge in advance, but in the new system, only one month's fixed charge will have to be deposited.

4G smart meters will start being installed from September 15

Kesco is going to install 4G smart meters in the homes of its remaining six lakh consumers. The work of installing smart prepaid meters will start from September 15. Currently, smart meters are installed in the homes of one lakh 52 thousand consumers of Kesco. Kesco officials say that the smart meters about which they have received complaints will also be replaced. No charge will be taken from the consumer for this.
