In a tragic incident in Karnataka, a 50-year-old man has been arrested for murdering his wife after she rejected his request to sleep with him. This case is being reported from Batgera village of Sedam taluka of Kalaburagi district of Karnataka. Shekapa, a resident of this place, allegedly killed his wife Nagma after a fight on Sunday.
According to Nagma's mother, there was often a fight between the two over some issue, which had become a common thing in their house. The report said family members often helped mediate and resolve their disputes.

After the latest controversy, Nagma was living with her mother. However, he decided to return to Shekapa's house on 28 September after he assured him that he would not cause any more trouble. On the return night, Shekapa asks Nagma to sleep with him. When she refused he allegedly assaulted her.
It is being told that the husband attacked his wife's chest with an axe. After this Shekapa surrendered before the police. He has been arrested under section 103 (murder) of the Indian Penal Code (BNS). The police were still investigating the matter.
