Meerut, August 29 (HS). A week-long skill enhancement training program based on 'Innovative Design Thinking and Prototype Development' started on Thursday at Shobhit University Meerut from August 27 to September 2. The aim of this program is to make the students self-reliant and motivate them to excel in the field of innovation.
Inaugurating the programme organised at Shobhit University on Thursday, Pro-Vice Chancellor Prof. Jayanand said that such training programmes help students to become self-reliant. Such programmes prove to be extremely helpful for students. Vice Chancellor Prof. VK Tyagi said that this training will help students to develop important skills in the field of innovation and design thinking. Such training programmes will help the students of Shobhit University to realise new ideas and implement them practically, which will enable them to take a strong step towards becoming successful entrepreneurs in future. Encourage students to undertake practical training programmes and turn their innovative ideas into reality through prototype development. Various training programmes such as skill enhancement programmes, workshops, bootcamps, practical training, FDPs, seminars have been made mandatory for both AICTE sponsored and self-sponsored AICTE Idea Labs. All students will be trained in cutting-edge technologies through Idea Lab by organising several training programmes every month.
On this occasion, Dr. Gaurav Kumar, Head of Innovation Cell, Galgotias University, Greater Noida, presented his expert lecture on the topic of Incubation Opportunities for Students and Faculties through online medium. He gave detailed information on the opportunities available for start-up entrepreneurs and the support provided by IIC. Professor IK Jain discussed the objective of AICTE Idea Lab, the total number of Idea Labs established in India and the inclusion of Idea Lab as a compulsory subject in the first year B.Tech course. Dr. Jayant Kumar Mahato of SU-AICTE Idea welcomed all the guests. Dr. Nidhi Tyagi, Dr. Jyoti Sharma etc. were present in this program.
