Madhubani, March 02 (HS). Skill development workshop was organized at CM College, Darbhanga on Saturday in coordination with Principal Prof. Mushtaq.
On this occasion he said that the whole world has transformed into a market. This globalization has increased competition in every sphere of life. Therefore, now along with completing the curriculum in educational institutions, students will have to focus on learning various types of skills through skill development programs.
He said that students should not depend only on government jobs after completing their studies. Rather, he should become capable of generating employment himself. Professor Ahmed was addressing the inaugural session of the skill development workshop organized by the Psychology Department of the college, courtesy the Pridelight and Craft Institute.
He said that the Government of India is connecting youth with skill development programs across the country. At such a time, organizing such workshops in educational institutions was said to be the need of the hour. The program was said to be in the interest of the students.
He said that along with studies, learning the skill of manufacturing materials for household use is beneficial for the future of the students. He said that today's workshop was organized for the students to learn photo frame, invitation card, dupatta dyeing, bag making and Mithila painting. He said that organizing workshops in the college through Pedilight Art and Craft would prove fruitful. He expressed his gratitude towards the institute's coordinator Priyanka Chaudhary.
At the beginning of the program, psychology chairperson Ekta Srivastava and Dr. Vijay Sen Pandey highlighted the outline of this workshop and its need. A large number of girl students participated in the workshop and expressed happiness. Skill development program has been started in the college. By which girl students will benefit.
