Mirzapur, 08 October (Hindustan Reporter). On the sixth date of Sharadiya Navratri, devotees worshiped the Katyayani form of Mother Vindhyavasini. Thousands of devotees visited Vindhya Darbar on Tuesday. There was a huge crowd of devotees at Ashtabhuja and Kalikoh temples also. A large number of visitors from different states of the country had reached Vindhyadham to worship the Mother Goddess. Before worshiping the Mother Goddess, the devotees took a bath in the Ganga and visited the temple premises.
Vindhyadham continued to echo with the praises of Mother Vindhyavasini. Pilgrimage priests believe that the number of devotees may increase by evening. Devotees from far and wide started arriving at Vindhyadham after midnight to worship Maa Vindhyavasini. Devotees who reached Vindhyadham in various vehicles, after taking bath in Ganga in the morning, stood in line on the roads leading to the temple to worship the goddess. Devotees had stood at both the entrances and tableaux of the temple early in the morning with prasad, garlands and flowers in their hands.
As soon as the doors of the temple opened after Mangala Aarti, the devotees reached the sanctum sanctorum to pay obeisance at the feet of the Mother Goddess. After worshiping the Mother Goddess as per the rituals, the devotees went around the Havan Kund after worshiping other Gods and Goddesses located in the temple premises. There was a queue of devotees since 4 o'clock in the morning for darshan and worship in Ashtabhuja and Kalikoh temples. After worshiping the Mother Goddess, the devotees started circumambulating the triangle.
