Rajgarh, June 25 (HS). The police team of the district has carried out a major operation and recovered six tractors stolen from Rajasthan, Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, whose total value is said to be 42 lakh rupees. The police have arrested 12 members of the gang in this case and the search for the remaining others is on.
Superintendent of Police Aditya Mishra disclosed in a press conference held at the district headquarters on Tuesday that in the last few months, unknown miscreants have committed tractor thefts in Narsinghgarh, Suthaliya, Talen, Khilchipur police station areas of the district, including Farmtrac tractor MP 39 ZA 6807 from village Ambavata of Khilchipur police station area on the night of March 4, Massey tractor number MP 39 JD 6169 from village Gordhanpura of Suthaliya police station area on the night of April 4, Mahindra tractor number MP 39 AD 3976 from Sanjaynagar of Narsinghgarh police station area on the night of February 27 and three Powertech Euro Nest tractors from Talen police station area were stolen by breach of trust. Police had registered a case against unknown persons in the matter and started searching.
During the investigation, the district police team, based on information from informers and cyber cell, has arrested 12 accused from Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan. These include Jasbir Singh, son of Resham Singh, resident of Jhanda Mansa, Punjab, Mushtaq, son of Ismail Khan, resident of Kota, Rajasthan, Adil, son of Aziz Khan, resident of Kamkheda, Bilal, son of Khalil Mewati, resident of Bamangaon, Bilal, son of Khalil Mewati, resident of Bamangaon, Rajasthan, Kashiram Bhil, resident of Mogyave, Thana Dangipura, Diwan Bhil, resident of Mogyave, Pragat Singh (50), son of Sada Singh, Punjab, Asif (38), son of Ansar Ahmad, resident of Chahdia Anta, Bara district, Manoj (33), son of Laxminarayan Rathore, resident of Mirzapur, Abid (26), son of Amin Khan, resident of Barsana, Uttar Pradesh, Jeetram (32), son of Nathulal Meena, Mandawari, Dausa district and Monu alias Mintu (36), son of Ghanshyam Meena, resident of Rawal, Madhopur district, Rajasthan. The police have recovered six stolen tractors from their possession, whose total value is Rs 42 lakh. On interrogation, the accused told that after conducting a recce, they used to carry out the theft and after changing the engine and chassis numbers of the tractors, they used to sell them at cheap rates in Punjab, Haryana and Rajasthan.
