Mirzapur, 07 October (Hindustan Reporter). In a family in Tikapur Masari village under Gursandi outpost of rural Kotwali area of the district, six members of the family suddenly started vomiting after eating a bara of lentils prepared at night. They were taken to Divisional Hospital, where two died during treatment. Due to the deteriorating condition of four people, they were taken to a private hospital, where their condition is normal.
A bara of pulses was prepared on Sunday night at the house of Tedhai Bind, a resident of Tikapur Masari village. All the family members finished eating and went to sleep. Late at night everyone started vomiting. Neighbors took them to Divisional Hospital, where Patiya Devi (65), wife Tedhai Bind and Sita Kumari (13), daughter Munnulal Bind died during treatment. On receiving information, senior police officials immediately reached the spot and took possession of the bodies of the deceased and sent them for post-mortem. Legal action is being taken by the police.
Area Officer Sadar said that Ramashankar (40), son of Tedhai Bind, Rani Devi (25), wife Ashish, fell ill after eating poisonous food.
