Bhopal, March 15 (HS). The United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) has included six tourist places of Madhya Pradesh in its tentative list. These tourist places are – Gwalior Fort, Historical Group of Dhamnar, Bhojeshwar Mahadev Temple-Bhojpur, Rock Art Sites of Chambal Valley, Khooni Bhandara, Burhanpur and Ramnagar and Gond Memorial of Mandla. Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has congratulated and congratulated the people of the state for this proud moment.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said through tweet on Friday that the great culture and civilization of Madhya Pradesh is getting established on the world stage as well. Six heritage sites of Madhya Pradesh have been included in the tentative list of India by UNESCO's World Heritage Centre. The wonderful and cultural heritage of Madhya Pradesh will now be recognized as world heritage.
Principal Secretary of Tourism and Culture Department and Managing Director of Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board, Shiv Shekhar Shukla said that this is a matter of pride for the state. Under the guidance and direction of Chief Minister Dr. Yadav, efforts are being made to give international recognition to the historical heritage and culture of the state. The inclusion of names in the list will increase awareness about the destination, increase the number of tourists and also give it a global identity. The process of nomination of these historical heritage sites was done by the Board for nomination in the tentative list of UNESCO. Now efforts have been started to get these sites notified in the permanent list of UNESCO World Heritage Sites.
